There are basically two types of roulette tables. The American version features a double zero pocket besides the single zero pocket featured on the European roulette. There are betting patterns which allow you to combine numbers in a specific way besides the possibility of betting on borders. Betting on borders mean that if the ball rests on one of the numbers bordering the number you have chosen then you are a winner and are entitled to a payout ratio of 7 to1.

Column or row bets offer a payout ratio of 2 to 1 and means you are betting on 12 out 37 or 38 numbers.

Even or odd bets promise the highest probability of 18 out 37 or 38 and attract the lowest payout ratio of one to one. This also applies to red or black bets and high or low number bets.
